Although the exact print runs for each release were never disclosed, Star Company was limited throughout its official production period with some estimates putting the total as low as 3,000 of each team set (which makes this much more rare than the 1986 Fleer). Over 1,000 Michael Jordan Star cards have been graded by Beckett, PSA, and GAI which leaves about 2,000 sealed Chicago Bulls team sets left. Since 1984, imagine how many were opened (not graded), handled, rubber banded, put into binders, etc. This true Jordan rookie continues to soar in value & pre-dates the 1986 Fleer rookie.
