Thank you for your interest in this card set. This listing is for (1) Complete Set of 1953 Bowman Color and (1) Complete Set of 1953 Bowman Black & White. These are the original vintage cards. As noted in the condition description there were some storing issues that resulted in some water marks on the 1953 Bowman Color set. Other cards may have centering, corner / edge or surface issues, as it common from cards produced in this era.

The Mickey Mantle from this set was sent to PSA to be encapsulated and received a PSA 4, VG-EX. This is an important consideration since it has the aforementioned watermark. This is not to say that all cards are in this condition, but is a representation that the watermark was not overly punitive in the grading process. Additionally, certain cards may have been altered in some way shape or form during the course of the life of the card, including trimming, coloring, etc. It should be noted that any of those alterations were not done with the expressed intent of sending the cards off to be graded, but rather as many young collectors do, was done to showcase their favorite players.

Each card from the set has been double sleeved and placed in an UltraPro card saver for long-term safe keeping. The cards have been placed in order in the aforementioned UltraPro boxes that provide a tight and organized fit. This set comes from a family friend whose husband passed and wife discovered his baseball card collection.
