1954 Red Heart Dog Food Complete Mid to High Grade Set Mickey Mantle GAI 8.5

  

The item for sale is a 1954 Red Heart Dog Food mid to high grade complete baseball card set. This set is one of the most beautiful and colorful sets ever produced and features 33 players from this era including the incomparable Mickey Mantle. The Mickey Mantle card from this set is highly collectible as Mickey only had a Bowman card this year as he was not in the Topps set. This Mantle card has been graded NM+ 8.5 by GAI and was the the 1st card graded at this high level during GAI's earlier days. The card is absolutely beautiful and looks sharp in this holder which featured a black border around the card illuminating the white border.

The next best card in the set is the Stan Musial SP card which is also graded PSA EX/MT 6. One other graded card is Alvin Dark which graded PSA NM/M 8. The other 30 cards in the set including other HOFer's grade in the EX/MT range in my opinion. Grading can be subjective so I have scanned fronts/backs of all raw cards.
