Other franchises and some sports card all can be the On Demand line. The last pic is an example of what the cards came in; a boring black Topps on Demand box with lots of packaging like all the other Topps on Demand products. These Avatar cards are out of print already (OOP). Still 50 packs is slightly over 1% of product available total worldwide since 4750 packs of 9 base cards and 1 Holo were printed and that's it.
That's all there will ever be. It was originally supposed to be 3750 packs, but Topps hadn't even advertised on social media Avatar fan sites and had already almost reached that number. Others who have worked with Topps have told me that they never remake or even reprint their on Demand sets.
There are only 20 different cards/characters in the set and they all have parallel variations; I estimate approximately 2138 of each base set card with a border that looks almost white with background drawing, blue which is the most common parallel with 149 and only 149 different numbered blue parallels for each card with a blue box border made, 50 green, 25 red, 10 white, 5 black, and 1 Avatar 4 elements parallel for each character. Every parallel is stamped with a number, so each parallel is unique.
There are zero others exactly like it in the world. Pack odds I calculated as follows: Blue (149x20) = 2980. 2980/4750 = 62.74 percent chance per pack Green 50x20; 1000/4750 = 21.05 percent per pack or approximately 1 in 5 packs. Red 25x20; 500/4750 = 10.5 percent chance or approximately 1 in 10 packs. White 10x20; 200/4750 = 4.2 percent chance or less than 1 in 20 packs.Black 5x20; 100/4750 = 2.1 percent chance about 1 in 50 pack odds. Avatar 4 elements parallel 20/4750 = 0.421 percent. So you might get one if you have over 250 packs to open. The cards have character bios on the back and are a great and rare collector item.
I thought it was a gimmick to limit the print run so small by Topps, but I don't see how they are benefitting from it. Originally they were only going to print 3750 packs/boxes, but they added a 1000 more worth of blue parallels to sell more boxes, probably after advertising finally hit social media platforms. With so many Avatar fans, this lack of product is insane!!
They should make a set like this for Korra too! Others have theorized with me that some Topps execs or high flyers in the company have kept quite a bit of product and more of the rarest cards like the Four Elements for themselves to sell in the rare collectible market they have created with absolutely little to no supply. I value the individual parallels near how many packs it takes to get them, but slightly higher.
